ABSTRACT

A clinical case of resistant and recurrent Hodgkin lymphoma successfully treated with neutron therapy has been first presented. Tumor resistance to multiple courses of chemo- and gamma-therapy was the indication for administering 6.3 MeV fast neutrons to a 30-year old woman. Fast neutron therapy in low doses (total doses 29 and 20 isoGy) resulted in a favorable effect with complete tumor regression in the temporal region, larynx and trachea. No radiation-induced reactions and damages to normal tissues were observed.

Key words: resistant Hodgkin lymphoma, chemo-and gamma-therapy, therapy by fast neutrons
